Ad of the Day: McDonald’s raises eyebrows once again with sun-soaked spot
The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey teams up with Leo Burnett for ‘Raise Your Arches’ follow-up.
Fast-food chain McDonald’s has just dropped the follow-up to its popular ‘Raise Your Arches’ ad that first hit screens in January.
In ‘Next stop, McDonald’s’ viewers see queues of beach-bound holidaymakers stuck at a red light on a scorching day. As the familiar soundtrack kicks in, we see one driver turn to his wife and move his eyebrows up and down. His partner then cheekily turns to their kids in the back seat of the car and does the same. Throughout the spot, the facial movement is passed from vehicle to vehicle, signaling that a stop at McDonald’s is on the cards for the vacationers.
Similarly to the previous iteration, there is no identifiable branding throughout the short, until the very end when the golden arches and the words ‘Fancy a McDonald’s?’ appear on the screen.
